CLIENT ENGAGEMENT & SALES OFFICER
Job Purpose
We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Client Engagement & Sales Officer to take ownership of the full client journey — from responding to enquiries and converting leads to building strong client relationships and driving repeat business.
The role combines excellent communication, customer relationship management and sales discipline. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing enquiries, nurturing and converting leads, maintaining long-term client relationships, supporting client retention, and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities
1\. Lead Response & Sales Conversion
•Respond promptly and professionally to client enquiries.
•Provide prospective clients with relevant course, training and service information.
•Prepare and share proposals and other relevant information with prospective clients.
•Qualify leads and maintain a structured sales pipeline.
•Conduct consistent follow-ups with prospective clients.
•Convert enquiries and leads into confirmed training participants and clients.
•Ensure all client interactions and follow-up activities are accurately captured in the CRM system.
2\. Client Engagement & Retention
•Build and maintain strong, professional relationships with clients.
•Maintain regular communication with current and past participants.
•Develop initiatives that encourage repeat enrolments and long-term client engagement.
•Proactively identify client needs and opportunities to strengthen relationships.
3\. Post-Training Follow-Up
•Conduct structured follow-ups with participants and clients after training.
•Engage clients to assess training impact and overall experience.
•Gather client feedback and identify areas for improvement.
•Maintain relationships with participants beyond completion of training.
4\. Upselling & Business Growth
•Identify opportunities to recommend relevant courses and training programmes to existing clients.
•Promote advanced, complementary and related training programmes.
•Generate repeat business from existing and previous clients.
•Encourage and generate referrals.
•Identify opportunities for partnerships and new business.
•Contribute towards achievement of sales and revenue targets.
5\. Marketing & Client Engagement Campaigns
•Execute targeted email campaigns to promote upcoming training programmes.
•Share training calendars, course updates and relevant information with clients and prospects.
•Support digital client engagement across relevant communication platforms.
•Work closely with relevant teams to ensure effective communication of programmes and services.
6\. CRM & Data Management
•Maintain an accurate and up-to-date client and prospect database.
•Track leads, follow-ups, conversions and client engagement activities.
•Maintain accurate records of client interactions.
•Generate reports and insights from CRM data to support decision-making.
•Use client data and engagement trends to identify opportunities for improved conversion, retention and business growth.
Qualifications & Experience
•Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing, Public Relations, Business Administration or a related field.
•At least 5 years' relevant experience in communication, sales, client relationship management and lead management.
•Demonstrated experience managing client enquiries and converting leads into business.
•Experience in business development and developing long-term client relationships.
•Experience using CRM systems and maintaining client databases will be an advantage.
Salary KSh80,000 per month
